3. Take a picture or scan the form

Ordering Basics, Examples, & FAQ
Basics
Write out your type as you want it to look once cast, then indicate what font and size you want it. If you want different fonts or sizes within the same order, just indicate which one is which. You can do this by drawing an arrow next to your type, after which it says your font and size, or if it is all the same font, you can just write it at the bottom. Please scroll down and take a look at our examples If you aren’t sure how to “indicate” best.
All Type will be processed as written—This means that if you write it as All Caps it will come back all caps, If you write it with mixed letter cases (Upper and Lower case) that is how it will come back to you. If you want to make sure we know a letter is capitalized, please draw three lines under that letter.
If You’d like us to text you a picture of your type before we mail it please check the box on the form. Payment will be processed upon shipment.
FAQ
How do I make sure I choose the right font size?
You can print out the page from our master PDF that contains the font you want to use and measure the type on the printed page. If you want your font to fit in a 1” spine for example, and your word has 4 letters, if you measure 4 letters on the page, then you know your 4 letter word of that font size will fit in your spine.
we can include a ruler in your proof picture if you request it in the “Notes” section of the order form
Large Orders
If you need more lines of type than will fit on our order form, please feel free to write on the back of the paper (see example below of our NASA Apollo Boxes made by our parent company Hope Bindery)
I don’t have a bandsaw to cut apart my type, can you do it for me?
Yes just indicate this on your order form. A space usually has enough room for a saw blade if you want to cut your own type so for our purposes, a slash indicates if/Where you want US to cut your type apart for you before shipping (See example of Descendants of Watertown, Massachusetts Below)
How long will my order take?
We are almost always able to provide same day service (Just write SAME DAY SERVICE as the subject line of your email). But, it just depends on how busy we are! We will give you an estimate of the timeline when we confirm your order, and are happy to accommodate your deadline.
I want my type spread out to a specific size!
This is a common request, usually for dates, as the numbers are more spread out, as they were traditionally hand-tooled. Just indicate how you would like them spread (See example below of “Old Soldiers Never Die” on how to indicate you want this on order form")
